Happenings at St. MonicaWine and Cheese will be served directly after 4:30 pm Vigil in the Parish Conference Room.
Order of Christian Initiation of Christian Adults will begin on Saturday September 28th at 10:00 am in the Parish Conference Room.
Saturday, September 28th-After 4:30 pm Vigil Mass join us for St. Monica BBQ with Salsa Competition- Join us for fellowship, food, and fun, fun, fun. Bring your favorite side dish or dessert to share!
Salsa entry is 1 per family. There will be a prize for the best tasting entry
Parents Mandatory Meeting will be Sunday, September 29th directly after the 10:30 am Mass for those who are interested in their children's continued faith education. Those who are planning on attending classes for Sacramental Preparation must have current copies of Baptism certificates from their Baptismal parish that are within 6 months of the date of attending the meeting. Certificates are required for those planning on receiving First Holy Communion, and Confirmation
Fireside Chat will be October 1st at St. Monica's 6:30-8:00 pm. Fr. Rick will present his talk on Catholic Anthropology. We will meet in the Parish Office Conference Rm.
Adult Education will begin Oct. 6th at 9:45 "Jesus and the Jewish Roots of Mary" book by Brad Pitre. Presented by Shirley Kintner. This will be an 8-session class.
The Knights of Columbus will lead us in praying the rosary, for Respect Life Month. Directly after 8:30 am Mass in the Parish office conference room.

Archbishop Catholic Appeal
It is time for the annual Archbishop Appeal. This is an important fund raising program for our diocese. The donations made enable the diocese to carry out its mission in ways that would not be otherwise possible.

All monies collected are used only for Diocese programs. Here is a breakdown of how the money will be used: 26% will be used to fund programs in the parishes; 25% to educate and train our seminarians, our future priests; 20% helps support our retired priests; 15% supports diocesan programs and ministires; 9% supports Catholic Education in our diocese; and 5% funds the vocations programs in our diocese.
All told, the diocese has set a goal of $4.5-million dollars for the campaign this year, which is the same goal as last year. St. Monica has a goal of $20,000 this year. Please help us to meet this goal.
Donation envelopes are in the church. These will be collected during the Second Collection, or you can mail them directly to the diocese, postage free. You can also donate online, but if you do, please select St. Monica as your parish.
